Forget Capilano Bridge, go to Lynn Valley

Posted by Bernhard Finkbeiner • Thursday, November 5. 2009 • Category: Outdoors
One of the most famous attractions in Vancouver is Capilano Bridge. The suspension bridge is more than 100 years old and is quite high. That's why it's fun to cross it. But did you have a look at their rates? For an adult it's between $20 and $30! That's quite a price. Especially, when you look at your alternatives in Vancouver.

Just a few kilometers east of Capilano Bridge on Highway 1, you'll find the exit to Lynn Valley. And guess what crosses this valley? A suspension bridge :-) It is not quite as high as its bigger sister, but hey, it's free - and still a lot of fun to cross. While you're there, make sure you have a walk on the trails along the river. It's perfect for a sunny afternoon. And: It's not as crowded as the touristy Capilano Bridge.
