Awesome Fish and Chips in Vancouver: Dave's Fish and Chips in Steveston

If you think, fish and chips is British junk food, think twice. Especially, if you live in or visit a city that is at the ocean you might find one or two spots where they serve pretty good fish and chips. For Vancouver, this spot is definitely Steveston.

More precisely, it is Dave's Fish and Chips in Steveston, located very close at the marina on 3460 Moncton Street in Steveston / Richmond, BC. You can order one or two pieces of cod, halibut or salmon. When we went there, I had one piece of halibut which was great. The batter was not greasy at all (that's what you usually get with fish and chips) and crisp. The fish tastes like fish and is just great. The chips are good but not perfect. But I came for the fish in fish and chips
I like halibut the most but I would assume that cod and salmon are just as delicious as the halibut. Try it!
Dave's Fish and Chips is not too pricy (I think around $10-$15) and together with the fact that the fish and chips is excellent, the place can be busy. Prepare to wait for your food a little bit but it is definitely worth the wait! The staff is friendly, so nothing to worry about
Make sure you pick a nice day and have a stroll at the marina, maybe buy some fresh prawns, shrimp or fish directly off the fisher boats. If time permits, visit the Gulf of Georgia Cannery which is by the marina as well and displays BC's fishing history. Also, the beaches just outside of Steveston are definitely worth a walk!
You get to Steveston, by heading South on Highway 99 and then turning West on Steveston Highway. Turn South (left) on Road No. 1 and you're there. You can park your car in one of the parking lots there.
